Scams with exchanges and "empty" tokens: crypto fraudster Bohdan Prylepa built a criminal empire under the guise of cryptocurrency
Bohdan Prylepa, the owner of cryptocurrency exchanges Coinsbit, Qmall, and other platforms, has been added to Ukraine’s wanted list on charges of large-scale fraud and embezzlement of client funds amounting to over one billion hryvnias. The victims reportedly include individuals from several European countries, with the misappropriated funds allegedly meant for purchasing drones for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Ukrainian authorities are working with their European counterparts in the investigation, while Prylepa is believed to be hiding in Dubai.
